The Crofton Civic Association is chartered with oversight of the Crofton Special Community Benefit Districts (CSCBD) by Anne Arundel County, which is the original Crofton, sometimes referred to as "the triangle" as it consists of most homes within the boundaries of MD Routes 3, 424, and 450. The CSCBD services include police, parks, recreation activities (such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt, summer Concerts on the Green, and the annual Armed Forces Day Parade), ground maintenance of public areas, and communication with the community.
