The topic will be:
Opioid Addiction and Its Impact On The Business Community The seminar will discuss the negative affects opioid addiction has on the every day work place.
Jonathan Boniface moved to Crofton soon after he graduated from Frostburg State University in 1995. Growing up in a Navy family, Jonathan moved from state-to-state every two years until finally settling down and establishing roots in Crofton. Jonathan met his wife Rebecca, purchased a home, and the two have been raising their two daughters in this great community. In 2005, Jonathan put his career in retail banking on hold to stay home and raise his daughters. During this time, he became active in the community volunteering. Jonathan has served for the past 9 years as the president of his neighborhood homeowners’ association, started a father’s program at his daughters’ elementary school, and ran a home-based photography business. Then in 2012, talk of a need for a Crofton high school started again. Jonathan joined together with other Crofton parents as they founded, “Build Crofton High School (BCHS)” and eventually he led the effort to victory. Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce and chairs the chamber’s education committee, continually finding ways to bridge the gap between businesses and our schools. Jonathan graduated from Leadership Anne Arundel’s Flagship Class in 2017 and in addition to being a community volunteer leader with the American Red Cross, he is currently a candidate for the Anne Arundel County Council.
